Women’s Values & Perceptions of Belonging in American Society

Study Goals

This study aims to learn more about women’s attitudes regarding group membership, interpersonal values, and belongingness. The information collected from this study will help us understand these topics specifically for groups of women in America.

Study Format

If you choose to participate in the study, you will attend an online single-session focus group with 8-10 like-minded women for over one hour and up 2 hours. You will have the chance to speak about your experiences, thoughts, and concerns related to women’s values and perceptions of belonging in society in the United States.

Eligibility

To be eligible to participate in the focus group, you'll need to read through this form and consent to participate by using the checkboxes at the end of this form.

In order to participate, you must:
→  Be a woman in the United States
→  Be between the ages of eighteen (18) and sixty (60) years old
→  Report less than 10,000 followers on social media
→  Complete the screening measures
→  Have a device compatible with Zoom and available for the online focus group
→  Be comfortable with keeping your camera on for the duration of the focus group session.

(While this is not mandatory, it is strongly recommended by the research team to promote greater flow of conversation between participants)

→  Be comfortable with the Zoom meeting being recorded in order for our research team to transcribe the audio accurately.
→  Be able to attend the full duration of the Focus Group

 You may not participate in this study if you:
→  Are not a woman
→  Are under the age of eighteen (18) or over the age of sixty (60)
→ Report over 10,000 followers on social media or self-describe as a social media influencer
→ Do not have a device compatible with Zoom and available for the online focus group
→ Are uncomfortable with the zoom meeting being recorded
→ Cannot attend the full duration of the focus group

Compensation

You will receive payment in the form of a $35 e-gift card if you are selected and attend the focus group session. This compensation will be disbursed within 48 hours of the conclusion of your participation in the focus group.
